AIR - Flights and Bus to LAX through ALTOUR

On Tuesday Morning, October 28 we will begin our Pilgrimage by boarding a Classic Charter Bus at the St Charles Borromeo Hall Parking Lot, to take us to LAX.   The Bus holds 55 people.

We wil then board flight KL062 at 2:45PM to Amsterdam and then connect to Rome.  We return on Air France through Paris to LAX, and again Classic Charter will be waiting for us to bring us back to Visalia.

๐Ÿ”ธ The COST is $1,400 for the group booking rate for round trip Flights and Classic Charter Bus.   The $1,400 cost is only due by August 8, rather than the time of booking the Pilgrimage Deposit.    There is no prior deposit due for AIR.

๐Ÿ”น Group Flight and Bus must be booked via Personal Check made out to Altour and received at the Altour Office on or before Friday, August 8.  

โ˜… If, however, a Pilgrim wishes to upgrade a seat or wishes to book their own flight, in that event only, a $250 Air change fee will be collected by Altour in addition to the cost of booking the upgrade or separate flight, and would constitute payment in full for AIR and BUS, requiring no further payment to Altour in August.

Our Travel Agent there will be Selma Evans at (559) 625-1333.  Altour is located at 310 W Center Ave. Visalia.

All Flight bookings must be through Altour to coordinate arrivals and departures with the group travel, especially if you wish to book a different flight.

LAND - ROME THROUGH BRAVO VIAGGI

We are delighted to have been able to secure the services of Bravo Viaggi, in particular Paolo Ferrini - who has been instrumental in helping finalize the itinerary consistent with the large number of recent ordinances issued by the Roman municipal government changing Tour Bus  routes as well as stops for getting on and getting off, all to avoid traffic congestion during the Jubilee year.


This has increased the amount of walking that Pilgrims must do to see the Holy Sites, such that we will average walking 4 to 5 miles per day.   As such, you must be able to keep up with a group pace that is reasonable.   Please ask if you have any doubts.


Our Booking for the LAND portion is separate from the AIR portion.    We are using the services of a QR code to allow a Credit Card registration of the DEPOSIT and the FINAL in dollars for the LAND portion.


๐Ÿ”ธThe DEPOSIT payable at the time you book this Pilgrimage is $1,750 per person, of which $500 is nonrefundable.


๐Ÿ”ธThe FINAL BALANCE for the LAND side is due on or before Friday, August 8 via Credit Card using the services of a QR code but final cost will vary depending on the number of bookings, and the personal optional choices:

HOW TO BOOK

1.     Click and review the itinerary and make sure it suits your needs.  Note in particular the optional add-on tours to Assisi or Pompeii found on November 3 in the itinerary.

2.     Contact Jerry at (559) 960-3245 via text or voicemail or via email at catholicjerry@gmail.com and indicate your commitment with number booking.   Jerry will confirm availability and save your space while you fill out Registration and Tour Conditions form.

3.     Fill out the Registration and Tour Conditions forms found on the Forms page and include a legible copy of the Passport page that includes your name, passport number, dob and expiration date - for each family person on the Registration.  

4. Make sure you fill out the second page of the Registration that includes the calculation for your final payment portion, so we know you understand the final cost.  

5. Make sure you check the optional tour of Assisi or Pompeii, if you wish to join it, as this helps the Tour company plan for guides and bus.  Sign both the Registration and Tour Conditions form.

6.     Once completed take a picture (scan) of each document and email or text it to Jerry.   

7.     Upon receipt and all the information is confirmed, you will be directed to tender the $1,750 Deposit for each person on the Registration form using the QR code in the DEPOSIT page

8.  TRAVEL INSURANCE - Once you have paid the Deposit, consider contacting ALTOUR at (559) 625-1333 and ask Selma to go over Travel Insurance possibilities with you.   Do this within 10 days if you wish pre-existing conditions to be covered, after that only new conditions are covered.

9.     The next event will be the AIR tender to ALTOUR via personal check and the FINAL LAND PAYMENT also through the QR code on or before August 8, 2025.
